Great for kids
We booked the Athens Treasure Hunt for our family and it was a fantastic combination of sights, tastes and secrets. We saw many things that we wouldn't have found on our own which made the Athens experience more memorable, localised and definitely engaged our 'tween' daughter. I won't give away all the surprises but it wasn't just a solve the clues experience. It was also really interesting for us as grown ups. Really loved this.
Wonderful Personalized Tour of Athens
I had the opportunity to enjoy their morning tour, In Pericles’ Times, with my children and my mom. This tour is geared towards families with a focus on keeping learning fun for kids.
What a fun way to learn about Athens and a lovely introduction to Greek history for my children. I loved the hands-on experience of learning, and knowledge the Insiders’ offered. Alexandra and Natalie were warm, passionate and knowledgeable. They answered our questions and provided interesting historical and cultural context.
I'd highly recommend!
Great Personalised Tours
We spent three days in Athens and to really understand the city we decided to look for a tour guide. After fairly intensive research, we decided on Athens Insiders to take us around the city. After some consultation with Athens Insiders, we decided to do the Kids Treasure Hunt, Highlights of Athens and Cape Sounio, and Acropolis Tour. Of these, our favorite place was undoubtedly Cape Sounio. The guides were really knowledgeable and were most meticulous in ensuring that our needs were met, such as recommending restaurants and answering our many many questions. Their attention to detail and care for our needs is exemplary.

Treasure Hunt tour great for kids
I chose the treasure hunt tour because I wanted something that can keep my boys, ages 11-6, engaged. The Athens Insider treasure hunt tour did not disappoint! My 3 active boys were completely into it from start to finish. The concept is great with a mix of drawing, coloring, crossword, deciphering pictograms, jigsaw puzzles, spot the difference, map reading and storytelling. There's even a spot of Greek coffee brewing for mommy and daddy. There were stops for snacks, ice cream, and souvenirs and a bit of pocket money included in the goody bag to buy these small things. Our guide was Niky who was incredibly patient with the boys. A great way to remember our holiday in Athens.
Fantastic kids treasure hunt tour
We had a fantastic tour on Boxing Day with kostos. It was the kid friendly treasure hunt your. Our 8 year old kids loved it & so did we. It was a great way for all of us to see the sights whilst making it fun for the kids. At each stop they had to complete challenges (e.g. Take photo, colour in, answer questions, do a jigsaw, work out where we were going using the map, write their name in Greek, play a game etc). It made the tour so much fun for them and when they got a challenge right they got a piece of pottery and at the end they needed to use the pottery for a final challenge! [...]''
Treasure hunt for kids was just perfect
It's a unique way to discover Athens with the whole family! The whole communication with the agency was perfect. The tour guide Jacob was great!
Amazing Treasure Hunt in Athens
We wanted to do something both educational and fun for our children durinh the Easter holidays and we found Athens Insiders on TripAdvidor. The best choice we could ever make. Iliana was our guide for the day, and helped our children, as well as us the adults, find out so much we didn't know about the history and culture of our own city! Our children loved her! Thank you Iliana!
